A Special SOOL

Tonight, I was reading www.postsecret.com, a website where anonymous people send in their secrets that they are too afraid to reveal by themselves. As I was reading, I realized that no matter what happens to you, no matter what you go through, you'll never be alone.

You may feel like "this is horrible, no one has ever gone through this before." but thats really not the case. I'm sure someone, somewhere at sometime went through something 10x as bad as what you're going through or feeling right now, or in a year from now, or as bad as you were feeling last week. You just have to think about those people and how they felt and then maybe you wont feel as bad, or maybe you'll understand that what you're going through is nothing to stress over.

I was reading the postsecret forum on their website, and I clicked on a link that was a secret about someone getting raped. There were 31 pages of replies to that post, all girls who shared their own rape or molestation stories. Reading a few of those made me realize that even if you've been raped, or something a lot less serious than that, there will be others who have gone through it too. So you're never really alone. I know thats a comforting thought whenever you feel like no one understands you.

Maybe reading a few of them will spark something inside of you, as it did for me.

SOMDx2: Friday, May 8th

Yes, my friends, you read right! Today there will be TWO spankin new SOMDs that will hopefully become the SOYDs.

Maybe every Friday will have two SOMDs. I think this would make sense because the reason that I'm making two SOMDs today could easily apply to every Friday... hm...

Enough of this mystery. My reasoning is that, although every one in the world wakes up thinking Hell yeah, Friday's finally here, we think it for different reasons. I've categorized these many different reasons into two, main groups of people.

These groups are:
PEOPLE LIKE ME!
- You like Friday because it means you can sleep in the next day
- You have all the free time in the world for reading and watching movies or maybe baking something new because your work isn't due until Monday
- You have a whole weekend of doing nothing ahead of you

COOLER PEOPLE THAN ME!
- You like Friday because it means you can stay up as late as you want that night
- You have all the free time in the world for going out, socializing, or maybe hitting a new club / restaurant because your work isn't due until Monday
- You have a whole weekend of partying ahead of you
